Athlete Guide

Mexico’s most Challenging Long Distance Triathlon.

Welcome to Mexico’s most challenging long distance triathlon (113km), set on the beautiful Residential San Gil, with its private lake, an historical uphill to Amealco town in the mountain backdrop of Queretaro, Mexico.

Described by athletes as one of the toughest bike courses in Mexico´s triathlon calendar, San Gil International Triathlon is a favorite to Mexican triathletes, and we hope that it will become a favorite to international athletes.

The physical and mental challenges will push athletes to their limits but the enthusiasm, warmth, and welcome of the local supporters are second to none with the resulting atmosphere for getting even the most tired competitor across the line.

San Gil International Triathlon will host a multi-day triathlon festival that celebrates the world’s #1 fastest-growing sport in the world.

The weather in San Gil in October is great, as an average day is 27-32 C with clear blue skies and light winds. It is, however, the start of the raining season in Central Mexico, so athletes must be prepared for all eventualities.

Athletes Guide will be available soon, the actual published Guide is from the 2019 event guide.
